Jonathan Wheatley is a professional copywriter and editor by trade and a novelist by night. His novel's The Priory and Vermin have been in the Top 100 British Horror over the past year rating as high as No.5!
Considered "slightly strange and a bit of a black sheep" by many of his peers, Wheatley isn't afraid to dance before he can crawl! A huge fan of Meatloaf, Metallica, reading, football, watching movies and classic TV, Wheatley will often be found drinking beer living in a daydream world!
Influenced by tv shows, The X-Files, Supernatural and The Outer Limits and writers James Herbert, H. P. Lovecraft and Stephen King, his novels are a mixture of contemporary horror and historical fact. A treasure trove of general knowledge and a dedicated movie, book and TV buff, his books are filled with easter eggs to entertainment culture.
Born and raised in Stamford, Lincolnshire; when he finally puts down his pen and paper and stops reading, he is a dedicated dad to his two sons, Sonny and Harlan. Jonathan wants to introduce writing and reading to a new generation and promote and encourage young and new writers.
The Priory is his first full-length novel. Vermin, part two of the Westford Chronicles, tackles a more horror vibe akin to James Herbert. He is studying for a degree in Creative Writing and Literature with the Open University.
Later this year, he will release his first serial novel, Black Shuck: A Skye and Sand Supernatural thriller…
